Colour by Concept by artist Jeffrey Spalding
Fun and decorative paintings by Jeffrey Spalding of Vancouver, produced during a seven month art residency in Novak Graphics Studios, Admiral, SK. This exhibition features two series of colourist abstraction painting including a vertical stripe format and a format using a tile-work of squares. Colourist abstraction is when an artist focuses on the visual experience created through the interaction of colours within depth of space. C3 Adventure – The Canadian West Coast by Geoff Phillips
Artist-Painter, Geoff Phillips of Maple Creek, SK, was an artist on the west coast leg of the 2017 Canada 150 C3 ship voyage. From his experience he painted eight large scale oil on canvas works responding to the landscape and locations they visited.
