Classes with less than the minimum number of registrations required will be cancelled 3-5 days before the start date.

If a class is full, please sign up for the waitlist. AGSC will always try to run an additional class if there is enough interest!

PLEASE NOTE – Prices are calculated based on the cost of materials, instructor fees and admin costs. All art materials are included in the class fee.

Artistry Hour
(ages 5-7)

Explore a variety of different art materials and let your imagination run wild! This 4 week workshop will allow budding young artists to play with a variety of materials to create a mix of 2 and 3-dimensional art projects. Projects include windchimes, shrink art projects, paper mache, and more!

Little Worlds
(ages 8-11)

Make 3D magic with the perspective box. Through learning about the viewpoint, the apposition of elements, proportions and 2D perspective you will build a little world inside a shoe box. Work with drawing, painting, and sculpture in a variety of materials, and learn to use a hot glue gun safely.

Right on Hue: Intro to Acrylic Painting (ages 15 to adult)

Have you ever wanted to learn more about painting with Acrylics? In this 6 week course, participants will learn about various techniques including colour mixing, wet on wet, blending, dry brush, pallet knife and impasto. The final 3 classes will focus on an acrylic painting on canvas using a combination of all basic techniques. For beginners and those with some experience.

Valentine’s Day Pottery Workshop
(ages 17 to adult)

A pottery evening for friends or couples. Bring your own Patrick Swayze or Demi Moore as we watch the 1990 movie Ghost and learn the pottery wheel. Space is limited.

Learn the art of Linocut printing! Participants will learn to design then carve out and print your own designs to create one-of-a-kind cards and art prints!

Caricature Portrait Workshop
(ages 12 to adult)

Learn to draw a caricature portrait using pencils, inks, nib pens and brushes! Participants will learn to draw a face and then exaggerate it to create a caricature portrait!

Valentine’s Day Card Workshop
(ages 8 to12)

Learn how to create Linocut prints while making beautiful cards for Valentines day! Participants will learn how to design and carve a lino block, and use ink, and brayers to make one-of-a-kind cards!

Cancellation Policy


  • Cancellations made 14 or more days before class starting date will receive a 100% refund.
  • Cancellations made 7-13 days before class starting date will receive a 50% refund.
  • Students who cancel 6 days or less before class starting date will not receive a refund.
